Feel free to skip this one – we did (to a great extent)
There’s a lot going on but we were busy – studying for a series of Zoom meetings and catching up on the Israel blogs.
But here’s a summary:
- 9:30 Lecture: “Greek Civilization” – skipped it. Been there, done that.
- 10:30 Quartet rehearsal – OK, I showed up for that one.
- 11:00 Lecture: “A Diplomatic Minefield? The Story of National Anthems” – skipped it but saw the replay later – pretty interesting look at various national anthems and some of the diplomatic faux pas associated with them (like playing the Angolan National Anthem when the soccer team from Aruba was visiting).
- 12:15 Trivia – OK, some things are sacred – and we WON! It came down to a tie breaker, “How many sovereign states and Islands are in Africa?” (56)
- 3:00 Choir Rehearsal – Gotta do it.
- 4:30 Lecture: “The Ancient Wonders of Ephesus” – skipped it. I think we were going to watch it later but never got around to it.
- 8:00 BBB – OK, we’re gluttons for punishment, even if you only score 17 of 28 (my favorites were: what animal has 4 knees – elephant, and what animal has four kneecaps – ostrich!)
So that’s the day,
Tomorrow we dock in Rhodes and have 2 excursions planned.
Gonna be a day!
Till then,
