Before we begin, a note: We haven’t been able to get AirDrop to work between Diane’s phone and mine. When we do I will be updating this post with more photos, particularly of T and D. Now on with the show.

We cleared passport control, picked up our checked bags, and wandered thru the “Nothing to Declare” entrance to Amsterdam.
We quickly spotted the Viking Red Shirts and had our names checked off their list.
Pro tip. Before you say ‘Hi’ to the Viking people take a few minutes to stop in a store and buy something. The change will come in very handy over the next few days and there is no shopping more convenient that at the airport. That’s my 3:00am thought this morning. Next time.
Back to the story. The Viking lady introduced us to our driver who guided us to the parking structure, loaded us in the van and we were on our way to The Hague (about 1/2 hour away).
We arrived at the hotel and were met by more Red Shirts – the ladies who made sure we were properly checked in and oriented us to the city. While we waited for our rooms to be ready we talked about the trolly system, Things to see, the schedule for the next couple of days, stuff like that.
We took a few minutes to freshen up and regrouped in the lobby to head out searching for lunch.
After lunch we were up for a bit of adventure (and it was a choice between moving and sleep).
We rode the trolly back to town and decided to wander a bit on our way back to the hotel.
On our way back to the hotel we picked up a few great scenes.
In the first image of that deck the yellow tower (100′ high) is so people can climb the stairs and view the renovations in the center court of the parlement building. We opted to forgo that opportunity.
Back at the hotel we finally succumbed to fatigue and were in bed really early (which explains why I’m writing this at 3:30 Tuesday Morning). We’ll eventually get regulated.
Til then…

Excellent Adventure start!
