It seems that it’s never easy to actually leave. And while today wasn’t particularly difficult it began a series of events that, over the course of several days, will eventually, in the fullness of time, GLW-CDR see us board a plane for Europe.
So the first Road day saw us begin by heading to Malad.
Following lunch and a couple of monthly meetings (Cheryl hung out at the local library during the meetings) we proceeded on to Salt Lake City.
Arriving, we checked into our hotel – home for the next couple of days – and headed to dinner where we celebrated with tall cool drinks (sans umbrellas). Actually they were Arnold Palmers (iced tea and lemonade). After the moderation of temperatures in Boise recently we were glad for the refreshment since Salt Lake hasn’t gotten the word that it’s time for autumn.
Then it was back to the room to read, blog, relax. Tomorrow we’ll do a bit of adventuring – up in the cool of the high country.
Till then…
