After dinner the boys costumed up
And headed out.
The first stop was the apartment of the guys in Kim’s class.
The second stop was the apartment of the girls in Kim’s class.
The third stop was unplanned. As we returned to our building the doorman asked if he could give “a candy” to the boys. Of course! Muchos Gracias! So he brought out a Costco sized bag and grabbed a large handful for each boy. PARTY!
The fourth stop was apartment 02
Finally, Kim chastised me for not including this photo of Papa and Popo.
Legend has it that Popo was sent to war with the promise of the king’s daughter when he returned. The king, assuming that Popo would not return, arranged marriages for his daughter. When she learned of this she killed herself. When Popo did return he took her body to the top of the mountain hoping the cold would wake her. Instead he froze. The gods covered both with snow and changed them into mountains. This is Popo. Btw, Popo is short for Popocatepetl.
The king’s daughter is the mountain behind the tower in the foreground in this shot.
That was a really big day!
