A quick drive across town (OK, maybe not so quick) took us to the Civic Center. The drive thru the center of old town was filled with interesting and amazing sights But this da is already full so I’ll encourage you to come here and see for yourselves.
For once Uber failed us. Because there are 6 of us (we’re accompanied by one of Kim’s students – Carley) we move in two cars. The goal was the base station of a tram (more on the tram later). Kim, Nana, and Spencer got there. Jesse, Carley, and I ended up at the other end of the tram. Eventually we reunited (they came to us) and we wandered a bit, took the mandatory Puebla photo,
and headed to the Museum of Eveloution.
The museum was divided into sections. The first covered flora and fauna from the earliest periods.
The second covered the age of the dinosaurs
The third section of the museum dealt with human (and other “modern” animal) development.
The final section of the museum was titled “species diversity” – which was less interesting than the way some of the mounts were posed.
Finally (before we hit the gift shop) we stopped by their ofrenda.
After the museum we split up. Rose who had ridden the tram trooped down the hill a bit to check out a playground and call an Uber.
The rest of us took the tram down and called an Uber from the lower tram stop.
We arrived back and had some time to rest before dinner and the final event of the day – Trick or Treat!
