The Sunday Morning activity was a visit to the Westmoreland Nature Park.
This is a portion of a city park in Southeast Portland has a “nature-based” play area. This includes:
Logs to clamber over:
A pond (where they were having “milk carton” boat races)
A sand pit with water and a supply of sand toys
That afternoon Brian (who wanted to make sure the lawn got even more water) broke out the “super soakers”
We did our best. We even had a little hope from “the ringer with the hose”.
After the boys changed into dry clothes we adjourned to a pizza parlor for a “farewell dinner”.
The Marshall-Binghams were staying another day but NanaPapa were headed out in the morning for the next leg of GAO17.
