Up, Breakfast, Turn in the rental car;
Steve and Billie picked us up and drove us to Union Station. There we caught the FlyAway bus to the airport
Where we cleared security in about 5 minutes and wandered the halls before choosing a lunch place (Killer fish tacos). Then we retired to the gate where we read until time to board.
But wait, the scanner at the boarding gate didn’t like the boarding passes on our phones. So back to the guy at the desk who explained that sometimes when they change our seats things don’t get updated – as he is handing us our new boarding passes to row 1. I could get used to flying first class.
So we were off to San Jose in the lap of luxury.
At SJC we wandered the halls again (gotta get steps in!) and read some more until time to board our flight to Boise. We didn’t get an upgrade on this leg – not a big deal since the Q400 doesn’t have a first class section.
It does however have free wine and Biscof airline cookies so we felt well attended anyway.
Arriving BOI we grabbed our luggage, hopped a cab, and arrived at home to be greeted by Lindy and fed with the traditional Mongolian Bar-b-que.
It was a fun trip. We spent lots of time seeing things and some good time relaxing. On the drive to Union Station Billie helped us list the things we didn’t get done. It looks like we’ll have to go back. Such is life. Every trip’s a scouting trip. Part of the purpose is to figure out what you want to see the next time.
Love this guys. Happy travels!
