The day started out kind-of slowly. Our flight wasn’t till after noon so we spent a somewhat normal morning – a combination of playing, packing, remembering “one last thing” and such.
Eventually Glenda arrived and we loaded everything into the van. She drove us to the airport (Thanks Glenda!!!) and we checked in at the United Airlines desk to see how serious they were about the dire warnings they had issued:
Turns out the issue was more blow than snow.
So our flights were pretty much on time,
though a bit long:
Eventually we spotted the lights of Boston
And it was time to land – at 9:37 local time.
We gathered our luggage
…picked up our rental car, and headed to Connecticut.
We arrived at our Air B&B in Great Neck some time after midnight. By the time we got bedrooms selected and people bedded down it was 1:00. Even though that was 11:00 body time it still felt late. Tomorrow is a “lazy day” so we don’t need to get up early for anything in particular – like that will make a difference to the kids.
So the adventure begins. Nite all.
Kim’s Addendum: our lodging was actually not Great Neck, but ‘Giant’s Neck.’ Which is only a relevant detail in that it led to lots of hilarity and images of massive country Snakes. (Say it out loud).
