Today was a day to rest and relax, and wait for the Marshall-Binghams to join us.
Grandson Jesse had a semester final exam today, and since he’s now in high school those things mean something. So they flew in this evening.
Which left us with a day to explore, relax, do a bit of swimming, and maybe a nap or two.
Our hotel is connected to the San Jose City Mall – a magnificent multi-story mall that was bursting at the seams with shoppers, and stores, and food.

But first…

Very little happened at the mall until 10:00 so we slept in and lingered a bit before:
After an hour or so of checking things out we stopped for a bit of something at the food court and then headed back to the hotel to rest (and/or swim).
Afternoon activities included more mall exploration, more swimming, and a bit of work on a project.
Dinner this evening was at their version of the Speghetti Factory. Great food…

And a little more wandering before we headed back to read and wait for the rest of our party to make their appearance.
Tomorrow we head out for our next location – Monte Verde and the Cloud Forest.
Till then,
