Woke up this morning to low clouds (or high fog) shrouding dead calm seas. I actually had to open the curtains to verify that we weren’t still docked.
We’re steaming (buzzing? whirling? What do you call it when the actual propulsion is by electric motors?) thru the Java Sea on our way to Semarang, Java.
We’ve got one sea day between Bali and Java so this should be a good time to catch up on blog posts. Right.
But first there’s a Russell Lee “story”…
Next is another interesting lecture:
I confess, I had my computer open for this one and spent much of the time working on photos. I did pay enough attention to hear that out at sea, sailing in deep water, we wouldn’t even notice a Tsunami passing underneath us.
After lunch I settled down to work on posts while Cheryl settled out on our veranda to heal and read. She’s feeling better, but her throat is still bothering her and she doesn’t have her normal amount of stamina. This is most evident in that she isn’t exercising and we’ve started using elevators to move between decks 4, 2, and 7. (We spend 95% of our time on those 3 decks.)
We surfaced at 6:00 to visit the pool deck where the culinary team presented “A Taste of Indonesia.”
It was interesting, if a bit crowded to get close to food, so we went next door to the World Cafe and enjoyed the same great Indonesian food in a more relaxed atmosphere.
BBB saw us turn in another ‘almost stellar’ performance (12/20) but that was good enough for FIRST PLACE!!! We attributed our victory to our unified wardrobe.
So that’s the day. Not very exciting, but it’s good to have a ‘down day’ now and then.
Tomorrow promises to be a bit more active.
TTFN, R
First Place!!! Good job team. Y’all look amazing.
