We’re still a few days out from boarding but we’re heading to Norman for a family Christmas celebration before we leave the country.

So far it feels like a normal trip to Oklahoma. It hasn’t occurred to us that we won’t see home again for many months. So we’ll take ’normal’ while we can and enjoy the adventure when normal no longer works.

Update: just sent the traditional “On board BOI” text to the family. It’s become tradition to inform them that mom and dad made it to the airport, got thru security and are “leavin’ on a jet plane”. LTGTR!
