And we’re on the road again.
The day started with us loading up the car and heading for… Malad.
This being the third Friday of the month is was the day for the board meeting at the bank.
It was also Homecoming for Malad High School. We arrived just in time for the parade.
Then it was on to business – Randy to meetings while Cheryl retreated to the library.
Business concluded we headed south. Tonight we are stopped in Nephi (about an hour south of Salt Lake City).
Supper this evening was at an interesting restaurant named “One Man Band.” It’s a classic mid-50’s diner with red and white vinyl and photos of mid-century celebrities (mostly of Marilyn Monroe). We seated ourselves in a vacant booth, perused the menu, and when we were ready we picked up the phone and called in our order. The squawk box heaped when our order was ready and we went to the counter, paid, and picked up our food, got our drinks, utensils, napkins, ketchup and such. A fun and unique start to the adventure.
Tomorrow we will hit the road early on our way to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
