Day 14 – 11/5 – On the road home

Up, Last morning shot of the Panamints

Breakfast and on the bus for the drive back to Las Vegas.

Took a couple of shots from the bus. The butte in the foreground is actually moving across the desert. We’ll come back in 10,000 years to see how far it’s moved.

We deposited the flyers at the airport and the rest of us returned to the hotel to pick up our cars and hit the road. Darrell invited us to join their group for lunch in Mesquite. We were meeting Jerry’s wife there for a buffet at a local casino. It was quite a good lunch and saved us the effort (almost) of having to eat supper as well.

Leaving Darrell and Paula and Jerry and Jerry’s wife in Mesquite we headed off thru the Virgin River canyon

to Springville (just below Provo) were we are holed up tonight before our final push to Boise on the morrow.

For now, we sleep.

C – Driving up from southern Utah to northern Utah we lost 20 degrees! This last morning we are driving home through snow showers before finally arriving safe at home. What a great trip!
